The talks between the Greek government and the Troika of Greece's international lenders are getting very intense and are expected to last quite some time, although Greece would prefer otherwise.
This afternoon the Minister of Finance, Gikas Hardouvelis and the Troika will hold a tele-conference to discuss the progress made on issues that the Troika has demanded ahead of its next evaluation visit to Athens.
According to government sources, progress has been made, but the International Monetary Fund is still holding a tougher stance.
One of the “thorny” issues that remains unresolved is the fiscal gap for 2015, on which the two sides are insisting on different approaches and numbers.
