Strollers on the beach of Katakolos on the west coast of the Peloponnese were stunned to discover a huge squid washed up on the beach.
While it is a dwarf compared to the true monsters found in the world’s oceans, the animal measures well over a meter in length including its tentacles – much larger than the squid usually found in fish taverns across the country which rarely exceed 60 cms from end to end.
