The disciplinary committee of the Greek Football League has called John Kamara, who plays with Lamia, to a hearing because after his team's match with AEL he lifted his shirt to reveal a T-shirt with the message “We are West Africans, we are not a virus.”

John Kamara had been given a leave of absence from Lamia, after he played with the national team of Sierra Leone, because they feared Ebola. After this latest match he showed the T shirt in an effort to get his message across.

However, the disciplinary committee of the Football League called him to a hearing for this move, as it mentioned in its announcement: “The first instance disciplinary committee of the FOOTBALL LEAGUE OPAP has called LAMIA 1964 FC player KAMARA JOHN BANCOLE to a hearing on Thursday 6/11/2014 at 10:30 for breaching articles 1, 3 par.2b, 10, 14 par. 1,2,3, 26, and 27 of the Greek Football Federation's disciplinary code and article 14 par. 5 Football Rules (LAMIA 1964 FC – LARISA FC 27-10-2014) cc: LAMIA 1964 FC.”
