The Supreme Court of the country will decide at the beginning of next month whether Golden Dawn, and newly launched National Dawn candidates will have the right to run in the upcoming European Parliament elections and local elections.
The first crucial date is this coming Friday, May 3rd, when the Supreme Court will decide on the validity of the candidates lists submitted by the party for both elections.
A week later, May 11, the Supreme Court will decide whether Golden Dawn and National Dawn will be granted the right to take part in the upcoming EU and local elections.
In the meantime, Parliament is to vote on lifting the immunity from prosecution of another four lawmakers of the ultra-right Golden Dawn.
The debate on whether or not to lift the immunity of four lawmakers, namely Antonios Gregos, Polyvios Zisimopoulos, Artemis Matthaiopoulos, Constantinos Barbarousis and Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos, is planned forthe plenary session of this coming Wednesday.
